Sustainalube’s greases are very suitable for heavy machines such as wheel loaders and excavators. They can be used in central lubrication systems of joints and linkages. Hydraulic fluids are the lifeblood of such machines. Compared to mineral oils they have the following advantages.
Easy cleaning of the machine with water. No need for strong solvents or degreasers as is the case with traditional greases and hydraulic fluids.
No contamination of the ground and groundwater because the lubricants are water soluble and will dissolve and be diluted in the ground.
No cleanup is needed if 50-100 liters of hydraulic lubricant leaks out when a hose breaks. For mineral oils, the soil must be dug up and transported away to a landfill.
High sustainability effect since lubricants contain no fossil material and are rapidly degradable. In electric machines, it is important to get rid of all fossil materials to make a truly green machine.
No allergic reactions since lubricants do not cause any skin irritation and the low vapor pressure makes the risk for “oil mist” minimal.
